In Neemrana, as I took in the blazing sun and as the terrain danced to the scorching heat a soothin melodious note rang in my ears. The notes took me to a lone green patch with flowers and hidden in it was this male sparrow singing to its mate as she moved from branch to branch. His notes parched my thirst as I printed him in my heart.
"Why a note on a sparrow?"people ask. "This little bird was in everyones home and is now a rare sight", I answer. A fast declining population owing to new architectural designs of buildings and urbaisation some say and others say it is the over use of pesticides that has done them in. However, in Orissa I haven't been seeing since the Supercyclone of 1999.

With each passing day I keep learning more and more about life. Lessons never seem to cease. That's what makes my journey interesting. In this ocean of animate and inanimate my soul floats grasping the beauty of the world and at the same time trying to remove negativity from it. The one thing that keeps me going is my faith and the love in my heart. Humanity is my religion. Truth and compassion are my strengths. There is good and bad in all of us. I believe in accepting people as they are.
Professionally I work on social transformation often called the third sector and and have nearly 17 years of rich experience. Through this blog I hope to bring forth issues, subjects and moments that have touched my heart or influenced me. And I hope the flow of thoughts would bring about positive changes all around.
